The battle between The Good Guys and The Bad Asses explodes as the third, and most intense Inferno ignites.
It's time to get it on when The Real World meets Road Rules meets Fresh Meat in the Inferno 3. This season's challenge takes place in the exotic backdrop of Cape Town, South Africa. The rules are the same and so are the teams -- the Good Guys versus the Bad Asses. When the contestants arrive, they are split into their respective teams according to how naughty they've been on their season of reality MTV. The host, TJ Lavin, lays down the rules of the game for everyone, and then they head to their new crib to check out where they'll be living between challenges.
Both teams toast to one another, although some team members find it insincere and are waiting for everyone's claws to come out. Due to some overload in testosterone, CT and Kenny decide to start a wrestling match outside to see who the bigger man is. When CT gets a bloody nose, things get ugly and he starts threatening Kenny. Moments later when Davis walks by, CT asks him if he can take a punch. Thinking he is a pretty tough guy, Davis says yes and CT decks him in the face --giving him a black eye.
The rules of the game are clear (NO HITTING!), so CT is taken back home in the middle of the night. Now with a man short, the Bad Asses are informed that they will be receiving a replacement player. Derrick, having a reputation as a bulldog that won't ever back down from a fight, arrives to the Bad Asses' delight and the Good Guys' dismay.
The next morning the two teams head to their first group challenge called Unbraided, in which each team is lifted 30 feet into the air and must untangle themselves without accidentally falling into the water below. When Coley's harness comes undone, she climbs onto Davis for support. When Davis' harness comes undone from the extra weight, they both fall into the water -- disqualifying the Good Guys. The Bad Asses win the challenge and $10,000 for their team's bank account.
After their first challenge both groups head into deliberation to nominate opponents from the opposing teams to go into The Inferno. The Good Guys choose Abram, while The Bad Asses choose Davis. The only way Davis and Abe can avoid entering the inferno is if they can come in first place in the next challenge and win immunity for themselves.
The second challenge of the week is entitled Racing Ladders. The challenge pits every man for him self, and requires each contestant to move through a multi-story obstacle course utilizing a steal ladder to make it across gaps, and up levels.
Abram and Alton wind up receiving the lowest times for their team, and are given the option of deciding whether they want to be in the first Inferno At the last minute, Alton shocks everyone when he sacrifices himself so that Davis will not have to enter into The Inferno. A smiling Alton is not intimidated when Abram announces that one of the bad asses strongest players will be stepping in for the Bad Asses. Next week, Alton faces off against The Real World: Denver's Tyrie in The Inferno.
