At the Ford Modeling Agency, Vanessa is informed by her agent, Kamey, that she has been selected as one of Maxim Magazine's top 100 hottest celebrities. Vanessa worries about the type of modeling she'll be expected to do, but Kamey assures her it'll be tasteful.
At home, Justine has good news for JoJo -- he's passed his written driver's test. Although JoJo shirks it off with the response, "I guessed," Justine signs him up for driving lessons.
Later Vanessa gets the courage to tell her father about her modeling job. He considers Maxim a men's magazine, so he worries about how they will portray Vanessa.
JoJo's driving lessons get off to a rough start when JoJo can't start the car. But once he gets the hang of it, he's ready to speed. At the end of the lessons, he gets his permit.
Meanwhile, Run seeks voices of reason about Vanessa posing for Maxim through his brother Russell and sister-in-law, Kimora Lee Simmons. They feel that since she's an adult, it's her prerogative and that he should not monitor her at the photo shoot.
At the photo shoot, Angela reminds Vanessa to make sure that she doesn't wear something too scantily clad. Vanessa tells Angela that she's putting too much pressure on her because she knows what morals she has to uphold. As if Angela's reminders were not enough, Run calls to check in on the shoot and make sure Vanessa is comfortable with what she's wearing. When she assures her father that she is comfortable, he lets her know that he's proud of her.
After the shoot, Vanessa apologizes to Angela and explains that she felt a lot of pressure. The question still lingers between them about what their father is going to say. But Vanessa feels that this will prepare him for her being a "Victoria's Secret angel."
That evening, Run tells Justine that he's not worrying about Vanessa anymore. He reflects on how everyone's getting older but he's getting younger.
"Are you skeptical? The world is full of people who would prevent others from growing and changing for the better. Life moves forward, so do the ones you love. Let them flourish and maybe you'll change for the better too. God is Love." Rev Run.
