Rob makes a big bet at the skate park and the guys make the most of their time in Tampa.
While Rob and Big are chillin' with friend Bam Bam and bulldog Meaty, Rob announces that he's entering the Tampa Pro skateboarding contest in Florida. After being defeated five years ago by friend and fellow pro skater Steve Berra, Rob is determined to walk away as the victor this time around.
Since Steve still won't let Rob live down his defeat all these years later, Rob drops by Steve's warehouse skate park to up the ante of this year's contest. As the fellas catch up, Rob endures jokes about his previous loss and potential upcoming loss to Steve. Since Steve is confident he will win this year's competition, he proposes they raise the stakes with a "gentleman's bet." But Rob wants Steve to put his money where his mouth is. Steve suggests a $500 bet but Rob raises the bar to $5,000! Steve is completely stunned by Rob's confidence, but accepts his offer. There's just one more thing, though: If Rob wins, he wants his money in $1 bills so that he can "make it rain" money.
When Rob, Big, Bam Bam and Steve touch down in Tampa, they see a roadside alligator and, to no surprise, decide to have a little fun with it. Energetic Rob plans to jump over the gator on his skateboard, but only if Steve and Big jump over it too. Don't try this at home, kids!
Thankfully, Rob's jump is successful and he soars over the gator! Although a bit reluctant, Steve follows in Rob's path and jumps over the sharp-toothed gator in one piece. Eager for his turn, Big backs up and gets a running start in preparation for his leap. His attempt is successful so Bam Bam decides to do it, too. All four fellas make it back to the car fully intact, while the reptile waddles off -- he's had enough. Later, gator!
Next, Rob's got a few activities planned for the gang, and things are about to get wet and wild! After Big works it in the water in a thong, the guys get in one last practice session before the competition. Rob plays it cool, skating smart and brushing up on his technique, while Steve's working hard. Maybe too hard. He's skating like his life depends on it, and it's having a negative affect on his game. Rob wants to be sympathetic, but he's got only one thing on his mind: making it rain with cold, hard cash!
After the practice run, everyone heads to the Bro Bowl, a skate park in the hood. It's time for Rob and Big and the boys to have some fun with the local kids. Big and Bam Bam "buttboard" down the ramp, which basically means they both sit on skateboards and race each other to the bottom. Then it's time to ball! Rob and Big gear up to play a friendly game of basketball -- big men vs. small men. Big and Bam Bam dominate the court, leaving Rob and Steve in their dust!
The next day, Rob and Big head to the competition, where they see tons of great skaters. Will Powers, Paul Rodriguez, Jereme Rogers, Eric Koston, Judd Heald and Greg Lutzka are all there competing for the grand prize, but the true competition is between Rob and Steve.
Rob hits the ground running and excels at all the boarding tricks and flips he attempts. Way to go Rob! Clearly intimidated, Steve jumps on his board, hoping to show the crowd what he's made of. After a few missed attempts, though, Steve falls off his board, proving that Rob has stepped up his game and is this year's reigning champ over Steve! Overall, Rob comes in at 7th place, while Steve takes an embarrassing 35th place. And he's $5,000 in the hole.
It's time to make it rain! Rob tells the crowd that he is the true victor and throws his winnings out over the audience. The crowd goes wild, dollars fly and Rob?s confidence soars. It's just another day in the life of Rob and Big.
