Just when you thought the Alex-Colie-Jenn love triangle couldn't get any more complicated, Alex decides to add another girl into the mix. When he puts the moves on Stacy, a Denver friend, at the bar, he brings her home to find Brooke and Colie relaxing.
With full knowledge of the roommate triangle, Stacy pretends to make nice with the girls. But, Colie and Brooke see right through the niceties and purposefully escalate the awkward level in the room. When Alex and Stacy start getting loud upstairs, Brooke and Colie can't cope. Colie confronts Alex about the situation the next morning in tears, telling him he disrespected her feelings.
Colie doesn't take long to bounce back -- after a call from Adam, she's off on a dinner date. When he asks about her ex-boyfriend, Corey, Colie says they're just friends, but he's planning on coming for a Denver visit. But with Corey in her boyfriend past, Colie sees Adam as the next step. She brings him home for scrabble and cuddles, but the two ultimately decide to put things on hold since the ex is coming into town.
That night, Alex brings Stacy home again for a little bit more than cuddling. This time, he thinks better of flaunting her in front of Colie and asks his roommate if he's allowed to have the visitor. Colie says it's fine, appreciating the courtesy talk. Things take a slightly different turn when Alex admits to having feelings for Colie... right before he heads back upstairs to Stacy.
Later on, Alex and Colie have a heart-to-heart about their always ambiguous feelings towards one another. The two agree that there are definitely sparks between them, but ultimately decide to take things one day at a time.
