The Vegas roommates are reunited, and there's already drama between Alton, Arissa and Irulan.
It's been five years since The Real World: Las Vegas roommates went their separate ways. But Reunited: The Real World Vegas brings the cast back to the suite at The Palms to live together once again! Will Trishelle, Steven, Brynn, Irulan, Alton, Frank and Arissa be able to put the past behind them? We're about to find out.
Steven and Frank, who vied for Trishelle's attention last time around, are the first to enter The Real World suite. Everything is pretty much exactly the same as they left it. While they settle into the suite -- and quickly claim their room -- they discuss how different it feels to be back in Sin City. Frank admits that he wants to let loose and party once again: "I want to live Vegas like Vegas should be lived!" And that's exactly what he's going to do.
Irulan arrives next with a new haircut -- and (supposedly) a new attitude. Before heading up to the suite, Irulan stops to play a Wheel of Fortune slot machine for old time's sake. Then in walks Brynn, who is no longer a party girl. Nope, Brynn is now a tame brunette and mommy of two! When the girls go into the suite, Steven and Frank embrace them and then they anxiously wait for the other roomies to arrive.
Before Alton heads into The Palms, he admits he's apprehensive about seeing Arissa and Irulan. Alton and Arissa haven't talked in more than four years, and this is the first time he and Irulan will be spending a significant amount of time together since they broke up two years ago. Once inside, though, Irulan and Alton's first encounter seems friendly enough, and the five friends discuss how they haven't heard from Arissa in years.
When Trishelle enters, Brynn says: "I'm kind of excited to see Trishelle I guess. I'm interested to know if she's changed at all. Sometimes there's just something there that makes you not like somebody." Is there some lingering tension between these two?
Arissa is the last to pull up to The Palms. She is excited yet nervous because she knows she has alienated herself from the group by not contacting anyone. All of the roommates seem genuinely happy to be reunited with her, but it wouldn't be The Real World if there wasn't some drama bubbling under the surface. And Arissa says it's only a matter of time before she and Irulan have it out.
The owner of The Palms sends the Real Worlders champagne and makes them dinner reservations at their favorite Vegas restaurant. Before heading out for dinner, though, the gang starts to choose rooms, and Arissa feels left out because everyone pairs off so quickly.
Because of their long period of separation, conversation at dinner is strained and somewhat awkward between the Real World roomies. It's as though everyone's walking on egg shells. When Alton tries to get Arissa to open up, the only thing she'll admit is that after The Real World: Las Vegas ended she went through a ?crazy period," which forced her to make drastic changes in her life. It's obvious that Arissa has her guard up, and no one's happy about it.
Despite the awkwardness, the group hits Ghost Bar, their old hang out during The Real World: Las Vegas. Although she claims to have a new attitude, Irulan can't help but confront Arissa about what caused the distance between them -- apparently Arissa tried to kiss Alton while he was dating Irulan after The Real World: Las Vegas ended. Arissa adamantly denies this, saying that Alton tried to kiss her and that he lied to Irulan about the incident. Both girls leave the fight fuming, and it's obvious that past feelings and heartaches are quickly resurfacing.
Meanwhile, Frank wastes no time bringing a random chick back to his room to fool around, and the other roommates make fun of his obviously inebriated state and poor judgment. But, hey, that's what Vegas is all about!
Once everyone gets home, Irulan vents to Trishelle and Steven about her fight with Arissa. She decides to confront Alton about what really happened between him and Arissa four years ago and demands that the three of them have a talk to find out once and for all who is lying. Alton, however, can't resist confronting Arissa by himself about the can of worms she opened with Irulan, and their talk escalates into a full-fledged screaming match. It looks as though this reunion won't be as drama-free as everyone had hoped!
