  1. Growing up in Chicago, Gina started performing at the age of seven with a salsa dance company, Fantasia Juvenil. Dancing until her late teens and at the age of sixteen, Gina was one of thirteen teens to be accepted into Columbia University's NY Theatrical Collaboration taught by Richard Niles. Gina then fell in love with New York upon her acceptance to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts; her calling was clear, theatre would be it.

    After graduation, Gina quickly gained success with booking television, such as "Law and Order," theatre companies and starring in shorts and indie films, including "Osvaldos," in which Gina Rodriguez won the Best Actor award at the First Run Film Festival in NY. Then, after five days after moving to Los Angeles, Gina booked her first co-star role on CBS' "Eleventh Hour" and within her first year, she went on to book series regular roles on web-series, "Eden's Court" and "No Names," her first studio film "Our Family Wedding" across from America Ferrera, lead in indie film "Superchicas," and her recent shooting of the hit show "Ten Things I Hate About You."
