About Episode

  1. Sharon Osbourne has decided to put her fame to good use. A few weeks ago she held an auction to benefit the children of Uganda. Now the winner, a 25-year-old named Laura, is coming to claim her prize: a whole day with Sharon and the rest of the family. Laura is a big fan-such a fan, in fact, that she has just gone into debt to pay $20,000 for this opportunity.

Meanwhile, Jack is struggling with an online driving school course he is forced to take after receiving a speeding ticket. With the support of one of his friends, he quickly scans through the pages and immediately tries the test at the end of the chapter. His friend tells him this is a bad idea, but Jack doesn't care. He isn't exactly fond of the idea of spending the rest of his day on 16 chapters of reading. When Jack can't pass the quiz without doing the reading, he knows he better slow down and do the work.

Upon arriving at the house, Laura is star-struck and impressed with everything she sees. She attempts to play with the dogs, but they snarl and bark at her, sensing an unfamiliar presence in their home. Laura is really into Ozzie, and tells him that they've met before at one of his shows. They hug, but Ozzie is quick to flee. Kelly is not too happy to hear that they have a stranger staying in their house. "For all we know this person could kill us in our sleep," she says. Later that day, Laura sits down for a heart-to-heart with Sharon and Kelly and serenades then with a song she has written, followed by her best imitation of a death metal scream.

Jack is still struggling with his course, and finds himself at the last page: the dreaded final exam. He knows he is not prepared at all and decides to call in another friend, Becca, for moral support. After completing the test, Jack submits his answers for scoring and he awaits the result. He passed! They decide to go out for ice cream in celebration.

After spending the night at the house, Laura gets to take a tour of Ozzie's studio. She marvels at all the records on the walls, and can't pass up the opportunity to test out Ozzie's drum set. She rocks out while singing her ballad yet again.

Sharon is having second thoughts about making Laura pay the $20,000 for the trip, feeling bad that she has had to go into debt to afford it. Before Laura departs, the whole family gathers in the studio and listens to her sing for them one last time. She is too nervous in front of Ozzie to remember the words. All in all, Laura feels that the trip was amazing and can't wait to see the gang again. In her opinion, it was "the best day ever."
