The Osbournes are going back to nature; though probably not the way Sharon had hoped. Fleas seem to have invaded the extended Osbourne family...as well as Jack's 'fro. All the dogs--and Jack--are scratching every chance they get. This is especially bothersome for Sharon, who hypothetically questions her boys (Jack and Rob) which type of adventure would be more fun--trekking through Australia, rafting through Alabama or exploring the Amazon? She says the Amazon would be the worst, because she can't stand insects, especially "anything that would lay an egg in you." Hey Sharon, you don't even have to leave the house for that kind of adventure.
Kelly also has Sharon worried when she declares she's flying to Philadelphia to visit her boyfriend Burt, who's on tour with his band, The Used. Sharon asks Kelly to take someone with her, though Kelly refuses to take a security guard on the tour bus. Sharon has other trips in mind for Kelly, like backpacking through Korea or Europe (Sharon's obviously on an outdoor adventure kick). Kelly dismisses Sharon's suggestions and passes them off as another instance of her mother trying to make her mad.
Sharon starts crying once Kelly actually begins packing for her trip, even though Ozzy and Kelly both beg her just to be happy. Later on, Sharon and Ozzy discuss the flea situation, which is so out of hand by now that visitors are complaining of severe fleabites whenever they leave the Osbourne house. Sharon orders new furniture to combat the infestation. The niceness wears off in about a day after one of the dogs decides the sofa needs an inaugural urination. The new living room setup also includes a sculpture of a mysterious giant hand, which Ozzy can't stop staring at.
When Kelly gets back she shows off her new nose piercing and threatens to get a chain from her nose to her earring if Sharon asks her to take it out one more time. Later on, Sharon gets to say, "I told you so," when Kelly accidentally forgets about her new piercing and mistakes it for an insect (a flea perhaps?) and hurts herself trying to swat it off her face.
