After a successful trip to LA, the girls are back in New York for their first series of live performances. But, before they can hit the stage, the band has some last rehearsals to fine-tune its look and sound. A session in the dance studio brings a few surprises and a whole lot of drooling when male dancers are added to the routine. Vocal coach Betty White also spends some time giving the girls advice on stage presence and working the mike like they'd work a man.
On the way to the venue, the girls can't contain their excitement. They'll finally be performing as a group in a Brooklyn park overlooking the bridge ... or will they? As Johnny Wright pumps the girls up and gives thanks for their blessings, the wind blows in a torrential downpour. When they move into the trailer for safety, the group receives some bad news. The sound board has been destroyed, and the props have been damaged by the storm. It doesn't look like the show can go on.
Just when Danity Kane thinks their first show is a wash, a little luck brings out the sun. With Diddy arrives, it's game time. Gathering the group around, the creator of the band offers each a blue Tiffany box. As the girls try on their new diamond cross necklaces, Diddy shows a change in attitude. He tells his 'babies' how proud he is, and how far they have surpassed his dreams for the band.
The girls wait for their entrance as Diddy warms up the screaming crowd of fans. After two years, he is finally presenting his stars. As Danity Kane steps on, the girls feed off of the energy, lights and smoke. Dressed in coordinated outfits, Aubrey, Dawn, D. Woods, Shannon, and Aundrea deliver a hot performance of songs from their debut album, including their hit, "Show Stopper." Thanking their fans, the girls reassure the crowd that while Making the Band 3 might be over, they haven't seen the last of Danity Kane. With their new album hitting the stores on August 22, the group is prepared to take the entertainment business by storm.
