Attitudes get switched up in this episode of Making the Band 4. The guys, who last week were in the doghouse with Diddy, finally get approval to be let back into the studio. But the girls, who were performing perfectly on their album, now aren't so happy with the way things have been going. Danity Kane and the producers seem to be looking in two separate directions: the girls want a pop-international album that conveys the attitude of strong women, but the producers are coming up with slower ballads that seem like the girls are just "crying about a man."
That night, the group goes out to blow off some steam, but the guys kick back just a few too many drinks and pay for it the next day during physical training. While the girls are working out "Baywatch style," the guys are struggling with their sit-ups, throwing up, and Willie even sleeps through the whole practice. Once again, Diddy is not pleased with the guys' performance. He decides they need to be pushed even harder, and hires Michael, a flamboyant supervisor for the group who likes to be called the 'Den-mamma'. The girls accept Michael, but the guys are not amused by his enthusiastic attitude. So they come up with a plan to put the new den-Mamma in his place. Mike sits by the pool with his crutches, pretending to cry from being so overwhelmed. When Michael comes out to give him a pep talk, the guys surround him and shove him, fully clothed, into the pool.
Meanwhile, the girls are becoming more frustrated with their boring tracks and no one seems to be taking their complaints seriously. So the girls sit down with Diddy to voice their complaints. At first, Diddy seems defensive and tells the girls they have to learn to trust and play as a team. The situation seems to be heading towards disaster when suddenly, Diddy surprises everyone and apologizes for not having better communication. He agrees to give the girls more control over their album's style.
Back at the house, Michael decides to be a good sport about the pool incident, and plans a house BBQ as a peace offering. But the girls aren't as forgiving, and scheme to get revenge for Michael. Aubrey cuts generous slices of cake for the guys, and announce that they are going to be sweet and 'feed their men." But instead of getting spoon-fed, each guy gets a plateful of cake shoved in his face. Revenge is so sweet.
Things keep going well for Danity Kane the next day in the studio, when Diddy comes through for them and gives them a 'cocky and sassy' track that fits their bad-girl personality. With two weeks left to finish their albums, everyone is finally happy and headed on the right track, at least for now.
