About Episode

  1. On the night of the grand finale of Making The Band 4, a huge crowd stood outside of the MTV studio in Times Square, anxious to see who Diddy would pick to make the band.

The ten finalists started the show by singing "End Of The Road," and it would truly be the end of the road for some of the ten hopefuls.

They've paid their dues and have gotten a little taste of fame. As Jeremy mentions to MTV's Sway, he gets recognized all of the time. Robert cut his hair after seven years of growth, but he's ready to make this band. Willie emphasizes that he still has a competitive spirit.

Joining Sway to talk about the show were Michael Bivins, Bryan Cox, Ankh Rah, the new choreographer Jamaica, and of course Diddy. Diddy greeted the screaming fans and explained that he wanted to do something different this season by leaving them with a cliffhanger. It worked because this season of Making The Band was the best.

Next, people in the audience and via web cast asked questions. Mike revealed that he lost an additional 14 pounds and "still looks sexy." Go 'head Mike!

Diddy split the guys into two to perform the same song. First, DeAngelo, Dysho, Robert and Donnie performed a New Edition classic, "If It Isn't Love." Next, Brian H., Brian A., Mike, Jeremy and Willie performed the same song complete with smooth dance moves.

With so many truly talented singers, Diddy had a hard choice to make, but it was time to make a decision. The first cut ...Dyshon. Diddy notes that he'll make a great solo artist. The remaining nine sang their familiar song from the show called, "Exclusive," and dedicated to the special ladies. But as great as the voices were, Diddy cut the next singer whose chemistry just didn't fit in with the group: Brian H.

They kicked off with ten, and then there are eight. At that point, Making The Band 3's Danity Kane joined Diddy on the stage and offered words of encouragement to the hopefuls from season 4.

After Bad Boy South's Yung Joc performed his hit song "Coffee Shop," After Yung rocked the crowd, Diddy called the finalists to step up, and then told them to step back, one by one. The process was tense. The crowd reacted with "ooohs" and "ahhhs." Then the unexpected happened. Diddy announced that he would be making a 5 man group instead of 4 in the "spirit of Jackson 5."

With time running out, Diddy announced the band. "Ya'll ready to make the band?" He asked. Of course!

The band is: Robert, Brian A., Willie, Qwanell, and last but not least, Mike! But-but-but wait there's more. Diddy made a special announcement that Donnie would be a solo artist on Bad Boy. The new Bad Boy artists reacted with excitement and tears.

So what do you do after Making The Band? You make the album. Diddy announces that the next season will feature the group making an album.
