Legally Blonde: The Musical › Cast › Laura Bell Bundy (Elle Woods)

As the perennially perky Elle Woods, Laura Bell Bundy knows how to coordinate an outfit and belt out a Broadway tune. That's probably why, in 2007, she received Tony, Drama Desk and Drama League award nominations for her starring role in Legally Blonde: The Musical.

But Elle isn't the only larger than life character Laura has played on the Broadway stage. She has also portrayed Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray and Glinda in Wicked. Plus, she has appeared on TV shows such as Cold Case, Veronica Mars and Guiding Light and in films like Dreamgirls and Jumanji.

Laura is also a singer/songwriter who just completed her debut "y'alernative" country album, Longing for a Place Already Gone, and an album of seasonal holiday standards titled I'll Be Home for Christmas.

As if she weren't already busy enough, Laura founded the Kreative Kids Foundation, which was designed to help performing arts students and schools reach their goals. And, inspired by her ultra-stylish role as Elle Woods, she is the creator and co-designer of Schmancy Purses, which she can be seen sporting onstage while performing in Legally Blonde: The Musical.
