Anna-Lee Wright is a Korean-American actress, singer, and dancer based in NYC. She hails from Columbia, S.C. where she started her training at an early age. A four year apprentice of Ann Reinking's prestigious Broadway Theatre Project, she was lucky enough to grow up training and working intimately with masters of musical theatre such as Gregory Hines, Ann Reinking, Frank Wildhorn, and Ben Vereen to name a few. While attending Circle in the Square Theatre School in NYC, she had the honor of getting to work with renown Broadway writing legends Kander and Ebb on their musical version of Thorton Wilder's The Skin of our Teeth. She played Gladys in the NYC premiere readings of the project, directed by Broadway director Gabriel Barre up until the unfortunate passing of Fred Ebb in 2004. She has since gone on to perform internationally singing opera for the Venetian Casino/Hotel in Macau, China as well as touring nationally as the Gigi understudy in the national tour of Miss Saigon. She has performed in regional theatres across the country as well as on film and television.
She enjoys teaching, judging, and choreographing for numerous dance competition circuits between gigs. Always passionate about working with the younger generation, in 2011 she choreographed the OffBroadway children's musical Piggy Nation, which premiered at the famous Jerry Orbach Theatre in Times Square and continued to run for over a year to positive reviews from the New York Post and national attention on NBC.
A true artist at heart, when not teaching or performing Anna-Lee is spending time on the pole practicing her aerial specialty skills and dividing the rest of her time between her guitar and her rubik's cubes.
