As Mandy and Josh make their way down the aisle, Mandy worries about her sick mother and Josh runs into trouble with his future brother-in-law.
Welcome to Melbourne, Florida, where the sun always shines, the girls (and boys) are beautiful and, if the waves are good, everyone is surfing! Twenty-year-old Mandy is the definitive surfer girl: blonde, tan and totally carefree. A recent college dropout, Mandy's only sure of one thing in life -- she's in love with 22-year-old Josh and they're Engaged and Underage.
Josh and Mandy surfed their first wave together almost four years ago and they've been riding it ever since. They're totally in love and about to have the wedding they've always dreamed of -- no matter what anyone says!
Enter Kyle, Mandy's big brother. Kyle doesn't think Mandy should be getting married at such a young age. Plus, he and Josh have never gotten along, and the tension has escalated over the years, leaving Mandy feeling torn between the two most influential men in her life. Now, with the wedding only weeks away, the situation comes to a boiling point when Josh decides not to make Kyle one of his groomsmen. Kyle sees this as the ultimate slap in the face, but Josh defends his decision by saying he only wants groomsmen who have been there for him through thick and thin.
After Mandy has a heart-to-heart with Kyle about how disappointed he is that he won't be in her wedding, Mandy confronts Josh about making Kyle a groomsman. But it's no use; Josh has already made up his mind. Now it's dude vs. dude in a war of wills. No one is willing to grow up, step up and make peace for the sake of Mandy and the family's future.
Mandy is, of course, distraught by Josh's decision but, hey, she's always got the BC (aka The Beautiful Club) to lean on! The BC is Mandy's group of best friends, and they've vowed to support each other no matter what. Even though the BC girls cringe at the thought of marriage, they're totally stoked for Mandy's wedding. Well, all except for one. Mandy's oldest friend, Katy, thinks Mandy hasn't properly planned out her life. She says Mandy is too young for such a heavy commitment and will be totally dependent on Josh because she dropped out of college. To top it off, Katy says she's so busy with her new college life that she may not even make it to the wedding.
As if all that weren't enough, Mandy's mom, Deb, is sick. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when Mandy was in junior high school, Deb's illness has progressed rapidly, and it has fallen on Mandy to care for her. Mandy loves her mother but feels like she's missing out on life because she's home all day being a caregiver. As the wedding gets closer, Mandy's mother is upset that Mandy's leaving but knows her daughter needs to move out and live her own life.
At the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding, Kyle feels left out because he's not a groomsman. But just as things between Kyle and Josh seem irreparable, Kyle decides it's time for the two of them to have a man-to-man talk. Over drinks at a bar, Kyle lets Josh know he feels insulted by Josh's choice to not include him in the wedding. Although there's no way to reverse Josh's decision now, both guys are finally able to open up and talk like adults. Looks like Mandy doesn't have to be in the middle anymore!
The big day is finally here! Mandy finds out that BFF Katy is coming to the wedding, which Mandy is totally stoked about. Meanwhile, Mandy's mother admits to her hairdresser that she's finally accepted that Mandy is leaving home and not coming back. Overhearing this, Mandy becomes emotional but knows she can't look back now. Ciao, momma!
After exchanging vows, Josh and Mandy drive off into the sunset as Mandy sweetly whispers the ultimate expression of love into Josh's ear: "I just wanna bleep!" Ah, young love! Hang 10, newlyweds!
