About Episode

  1. Jake and Jenn met in high school and have been together ever since. Jake is a Private in the Army, and his fiancé, Jenn, is a nineteen-year-old who feels she's taken for granted. Will the couple crumble from their self centered attitudes, or will they be able to put their egos aside and work things out?

When Jenn goes to pick up Jake from the airport, she is ecstatic. But, while they are on their way home, the initial rush of excitement quickly dies. When Jenn asks Jake to help her with some of the wedding plans, Jake says he doesn't want to be her monkey. Later that night, Jenn becomes frustrated as she watches her husband-to-be hang out with his family and friends and shrug her off.

The next day, Jake joins Jenn at her house to help her with wedding plans, only to break some of her hand-crafted favors. Later, when Jenn joins his family at a wrestling event, the couple fights about Jake's involvement in the wedding and the lack of time he has been spending with her.

The heat turns up when Jenn comes back to Jake's house and the couple has a huge fight in front of Jake's family. The morning after, the couple has plans to get their marriage license together. But, Jake shows up hours late, leaving Jenn hurt and angry.

That night, Jenn talks to Jake and makes sure not to give him too many details about the night's plans. She's going out to her bachelorette party and can't wait for some much needed "cheering up."

Two days before the wedding, the couple collects their wedding license. Finally in a good mood, it seems as though there's peace in their relationship. However, it doesn't last for long... the couple's mood sours when Jenn turns on the TV and sees headlines about Iraq and the war.

That night, it's Jake's turn to go out for his bachelor party. When Jenn calls Jake to find out how long he'll be gone, Jake says he doesn't know. Jenn gets frustrated and angry, and Jake makes matters worse by cutting the conversation short. On a trip to visit the priest the next day, the two are still in a fight, and Jenn falls into tears.

But, on the day of the wedding, everything goes off without a hitch and Jenn chokes up as she says her vows. On the way to the hotel, Jenn tells Jake that she saw him shed a tear when her father had walked her down the aisle. Jake confesses, saying that the wedding was perfect.
