In Florence, Kentucky, eighteen-year-old Ashley and the father of her two children, twenty-two-year-old Josh, decide to make their family of four official.
While Ashley once held high hopes of competing in the Miss America pageant, she's now the proud mother of two and looking forward to a future with her soon-to-be husband.
Ashley's mom, Kim, is paying for most of the wedding -- including the hotel for their first night as man and wife. At her mom's house, Ashley sorts through her old pageant tiaras and ribbons, and her mom says she worries about the marriage, only wanting what's best for her daughter.
With one week until the wedding, Ashley and Josh go out on a date to the batting cages. But, it isn't all fun and games... when Josh can't give Ashley a straight answer on whether or not his bachelor party is at a strip card, Ashley ends up in tears, worried about a one night stand. While he thinks the whole idea is ridiculous, Ashley worries about being left to take care of her two children by herself.
Since Josh holds down twelve hour work days, Ashley counts down the hours as a stay at home mom. Problems arise when the proud papa comes home, since Ashley wants time off from the little ones and Josh is exhausted from work. But, Josh looks at their problems with a positive slant, excited to grow and learn with his bride-to-be.
When Kim calls to say she'll pay for the rehearsal dinner, Josh starts to worry about her financial contributions to the wedding. Although the couple appreciates the help with money, Josh doesn't want the bills to be constantly thrown in his face.
A day before the wedding, the two head out on their last night as singles. While Ashley worries about Josh, her future husband holds to his promise and only goes bar hopping -- no strippers in sight. Unfortunately, he has a little too much fun and needs his father to carry him to bed.
When Josh doesn't answer his cell phone on the morning of the wedding, Ashley begins to fear the worst. But her fiancé isn't too far behind, only running thirty minutes late to the ceremony. The two tie the knot in a tear-filled ceremony, excited to spend the rest of their lives together.
