About EMA 2013

  1. From the red carpet to special guests and all the show-stopping performances in between, the 2013 EMA brought it to you big from Amsterdam!

'Artist On The Rise' winner Austin Mahone kicked off the global preshow in NYC with a live performance atop World War II aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (NBD). Jason Derulo and Fall Out Boy also performed while the showcase ship was helmed by hosts Cher Lloyd, Darren Criss and Andrew Schulz.

Meanwhile in the Netherlands, Miley shocked and awed with a twerk-fused performance of 'We Can't Stop,' while Robin Thicke and Iggy Azalea teamed up to perform 'Blurred Lines / Feel Good.' Katy Perry soared to new heights with her latest single 'Unconditionally,' Bruno Mars got salacious for a sultry rendition of 'Gorilla,' and heavy-hitter Eminem brought the beats with head bangers 'Berzerk' and 'Rap God.' Miley returned to the EMA stage for a stripped down (and pantless) version of 'Wrecking Ball,' SNOOP DOGG brought it back to '94 with a performance of 'Gin and Juice,' and Icona Pop closed the show with the anthem of 2013: 'I Love It.'

Of course the night's action wasn't limited to the performance stage, as chart-toppers took to the podium to collect spring loaded statuettes. Eminem, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and Miley Cyrus took home top honors, while Beyonce and Justin Bieber accepted awards from the road.

What will next year's EMA have in store? We don't know yet, but we can guarantee your favorite chart toppers, international idols, and rock stars are sure to be a part of it. Until then, tot ziens.
