Jessica is a shoot-from-the-hip, athletic spitfire with a mean jump shot and quick wit.
Jessica is on a soul-searching mission to discover who she is, both in and outside of Pastry, the company founded by her cousins, Vanessa and Angela. She's on a quest to get back to her Panamanian roots by learning salsa dancing, Spanish and native cooking. And, as usual, the sporty girl is playing more basketball. Who knows, maybe she'll go pro.
On the professional side of things, Jessica is exploring the ambiguities of being both a close friend to and an employee of the Simmons sisters. Since Jessica has so much knowledge of the Pastry clientele, she has decided she wants to expand her responsibilities toward marketing and sales by becoming a sales rep for Pastry.
Like her relatives, Jessica also takes time to give back to her community. Jessica starts a non-profit organization to help kids and helps supply schools that don't have the proper tools to educate their students with computers, books, sports equipment and more. In addition to all her philanthropy work, Jessica also decides to go back to law school.
