  1. Warren G grew up in Long Beach, Calif., and formed his first rap group, 213, with childhood friends Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg. All three had run-ins with the law and spent time in jail, which motivated them to seek out success as rappers. Of course, hanging out with Warren G's half brother, Dr. Dre, certainly helped their cause, especially when Dre featured all three of them on his album The Chronic. But G wanted to build his cred outside of Dre's shadow.

After producing tracks for artists like MC Breed and 2Pac, Warren G's big break came when "Indo Smoke," his collaboration with Mista Grimm, landed on the Poetic Justice soundtrack. This led to G recording his debut album, Regulate ... G Funk Era and, in 1994, he exploded onto the hip-hop scene with the smash hit "Regulate." He has since sold millions of albums and had numerous hip-hop hits.

But Warren G's skills aren't just limited to rhymin'. He has appeared on TV shows like Clueless, All of Us and Celebrity Fit Club. So what's the best way to combine those two worlds? Why by mentoring Countess Vaughn on Celebrity Rap Superstar, of course!
