  1. Southern boy Bubba Sparxxx surprised hip-hop fans by seemingly coming out of nowhere in 2001 with his Timbaland-produced hit "Ugly." But even more surprising was the fact that he was -- gasp -- white! Despite artists like the Beastie Boys and Eminem paving the way, many saw Sparxxx as the antithesis of what a rapper was supposed to be. But hip-hop was what he grew up on.

While coming of age in the backwoods of Georgia, Bubba's African-American neighbor turned him onto the group 2 Live Crew. He soon took a liking to early-'90s gangsta rappers like Too Short, Eazy-E and N.W.A. By 15, he was writing his own rhymes. Then, in 1999 he recorded an indie album that led to his fateful meeting with Timbaland.

Dark Days, Bright Nights, featuring "Ugly," debuted at #3 on The Billboard 200 album chart. Sparxxx has since released two more albums, Deliverance and The Charm.

Now Bubba Sparxxx is bringing his unique brand of hip-hop to Celebrity Rap Superstar by mentoring the rhythmically-challenged Laguna Beach/The Hills star Jason Wahler. Will this white country boy be able to teach a white-bred bad boy how to mess with the best?
