While Warren shows off his new line of clothes, Shwayze and Cisco Adler spot a giant rat running across their deck. Thoroughly freaked out, they tell Warren to handle the situation while they go shoot the video for "Corona and Lime."
Left behind while the Buzzin' boys go have fun, Warren calls some exterminators to look into the rat sighting. When Shwayze and Cisco get home, the exterminators have caught one huge rat -- and there's apparently plenty more where it came from. Thankfully, they're heading out of town for a couple gigs while the situation is taken care of.
While packing for their trip, Shwayze mindlessly throws one of Cisco's hats on the bed, causing Cisco to freak out because he thinks it's bad luck. But that's just an old wives' tale, right?
When their plane to New York City is seriously delayed, Cisco Adler thinks their bad luck is already kicking in. Then DJ Skeet Skeet discovers that he picked up the wrong bag at the airport, which means they're totally screwed -- the hard drive with all the music was in there! With no gear, they can't do the NYC show. Now Cisco knows it was the hat. But is this only the beginning?
It seems so, especially when Warren runs into a financial crisis with his clothing line. In order to get a big shipment out on time, he needs $20,000. If he doesn't come up with the cash in just three days, he may be forced to desert the gang so that he can focus on the clothing line full-time. Luckily, he gets a meeting with an investor who offers to put up half of the money he needs. It's better than nothing!
When Warren meets Shwayze and Cisco for a drink, they offer to pony up the other half of the money so that he can stay on tour with them. Things are looking up and it seems like the curse is wearing off.
But when the Buzzin' gang arrives at their next destination -- Vegas, baby! -- Warren gets some bad news. His investor has dropped out and he is once again short half of the money he needs. Cisco tells him to look on the bright side ... anything can happen in Las Vegas.
In the Palms hotel, the boys party with some ladies and kill it at club Rain. After stepping offstage, Cisco springs into action, booking a late-night gig at Tao worth 10K to help Warren out. But their luck runs out when Suretone Records exec Jordan Schur catches them trying to sneak out. He chastises them and says they are forbidden to perform at two competing venues the same night. Defeated, they head back inside.
Unable to perform the second show, Shwayze and Cisco Adler decide to leave Warren's fate up to a spin of the roulette wheel. They've got a 50/50 chance of doubling their money, right?
Cashing in 10 grand, Shwayze, Cisco and Warren squabble about whether they should put it all on black or red. After going back and forth, they put the chips on black. After the dealer spins the wheel, the ball bounces around and lands on ... red. That's $10,000 down the toilet, and it looks like Warren will have to leave them after all.
Back in the hotel room, Shwayze hopes to reverse the curse by throwing his hat on the bed and praying for good luck. Uh ... not sure that's how it works!
