It seems that Susie took destiny into her own hands pretty early on: "I already knew that I wanted to be in the entertainment industry when I was 9 years old. I would put together crazy outfits and model them. At the time, our apartment had a long hallway that ended in the living room, so I would have my mother and two sisters sit in the living room as my audience. The hallway was my runway and I was the designer, producer, and star of my own show!"


These days you can tune-in to MTV and catch Susie co-hosting the wildly popular video countdown show TRL (Total Request Live) straight out of NYC's Times Square. She's also busy hosting MTV specials like Hits, TRL New Year's Eve and even her own bi-lingual radio show TRL Latino.


An aspiring actor, Hollywood found Susie to be talented enough to call on her early in her career. She has guest-starred on such notable shows as, UPN's Half & Half and ABC's My Wife and Kids. Her poise in front of the camera also led to various hosting gigs, including "The I Do Diaries: Instant Wedding" on Lifetime and The TV Guide Channel's special on the Miss USA pageant. She was also a guest commentator during the live telecast of the 2004 Miss USA Pageant and shared the stage with Regis Philbin when she co-hosted Live! With Regis and Kelly.


In 2003, this exotic beauty of Puerto Rican & Dominican descent became only the third Latina ever to become Miss USA, prompting People en Español to name her one of the "25 Most Beautiful People". Recently, you may have caught Susie chatting-it-up in Spanish on two of the many commercials Pantene produced for the U.S. Latin market.


Susie spends her spare time listening to a variety of sounds (she counts Snoop Dogg and The Killers as two of her current favorites), and really enjoys interior decorating whenever she gets the chance. She looks forward to hooking-up her own crib, getting the most out of her Bachelors Degree in Interior Architecture and Design from Endicott College. A self-professed "hack", Susie loves to golf and even has her own set of Titleist clubs with matching monogrammed golf balls!



Raised by a single mother in a low-income neighborhood, Susie understands the countless obstacles young people encounter, and is committed to impressing upon them the importance of an education, as well as maintaining positive self-esteem.
