The Ashlee Simpson Show › Ep. 107

With the release of Ashlee's new album, Autobiography right around the corner and her tour about to take off, it's time to take the final preparations of her debut. Ashlee heads out to shoot her album cover, and spends an eternity with her crew making sure the picture comes out the way that she wants it--after all it's going to reflect her as an artist, so it has to be perfect. Afterwards, Ashlee needs to get some rehearsal time in with her band to make sure everything sounds just right at her next show.

Ashlee's dad is there to give some support and watch Ashlee prepare for her big gig. When he starts giving Ashlee advice about how to hear herself more clearly, and how she had better improve "Pieces of Me" before the show, Ashlee gets a little frustrated; "I've got my period... I'm PMS-ing" she whines. Ashlee's dad storms off, but the two soon make up cause' there ain't much time left to play around.

The next day, it is time for Ashlee to shoot her first video. With all of the stress she is facing, Ashlee is more than a little relieved when her beau Ryan shows up to take off some of the pressure. Ashlee beams when she sees Ryan, "I think Ryan is amazing, he always wants me to be happy," she says. The video shoot ends up goes really well-- Ashlee switches from blonde to brunette, smashes a mirror, and causes a huge ruckus in the video, and when her blonde wig falls off everyone on set bursts out laughing.

With the video under wraps, Ashlee is set for her performance at "Summer Mania," the same stage where Jessica got her start. Ashlee is very nervous and makes sure to practice some ridiculous vocal warm-ups, which her mom and band members join in on. Ashlee also has Ryan to calm her nerves, and she is definitely going to need the moral support, because she is set to perform in front of thousands. When she takes the stage the crowd goes wild. Ashlee gives a rockin' performance, but is disappointed with how her voice came off sounding.

Ashlee goes back on vocal rest, not saying a word to heal up for her next big performance, the last one before her album is released. She is a bit concerned about this, and goes to see the doc to get her pipes checked out. When the pictures of Ashlee's throat are developed, the bump on her vocal cord, which looks more than a little like a woman's privates according to Ashlee and her entourage, seems to be on the mend. Ash is healing up just fine, but the doctor gives her a quick shot in the butt to numb her throat for her big performance.

The big show is awesome; Ashlee rocks the stage and the mic, and her voice sounds fantastic. Everyone is thrilled and excited for the album which is set to be amazing.
