The Ashlee Simpson Show › Ep. 104

Ashlee and Ryan have become an official "item," and Ashlee expects the couple's Valentine's Day to be at least a little romantic. "Ryan asked me to be his Valentine," says Ashlee gleefully, referring to her new man as her best friend. As fast as this new couple has sprung up, it hasn't been too fast for Ashlee to pump out a new song called "Pieces of Me," which she wrote for Ryan.

With the hype over her upcoming album, Ashlee decides it's time to tone up in order to get ready for the public eye. Ashlee and her friend head over to a ballet class, but laugh so hard that they need to leave in the middle of it in order to regain their composure. Later, the girls return with some ridiculous puffy pink tutus which they wear throughout the lesson. "I think my ballet days are over," sighs Ashlee. "We have to try something else for our workout next week."

Ashlee and her friends return to the apartment for a girl party, and realize that in order to throw a killer bash complete with tacos supreme, they're gonna' have to do some cookin'. "My specialty is tacos," claims Ashlee, who then seems to find cooking the meat, washing the lettuce, and cutting up the tomatoes almost overwhelming.

At the party, Ashlee informs her friends that she expects them to come to Ryan's show, and later she drops by Ryan's place to say a quick hello. The two hang out, and Ryan plays Ashlee a new song which he wrote especially for her.

Finally, Ryan's show rolls around, and Ashlee arrives with her posse, ready to hear her song. Ryan plays his Valentine's set, and ends with a love song Ashlee doesn't recognize. This gets Ashlee upset, and she makes sure to let Ryan know by telling him, "you're the worst Valentine ever." Ryan hadn't realized what Simpson girls expect from their men, especially on Valentine's Day. "He didn't give me anything, not even a carnation... not even a dying carnation!" complains the disappointed Ashlee.

Ryan eventually gets Ashlee to forgive him, and when the couple gets home, Ryan surprises Ashlee with flowers. This still isn't good enough for Ashlee though, and she makes Ryan prove his devotion to her by eating a flower.  By the end of the episode it seems that Ashlee has truly succeeded in finding the man that will do anything for her.
