What's it really like to try to make it in the cutthroat modeling industry? Get ready for 8th and Ocean. Ten models from the elite Miami-based Irene Marie agency get the opportunity to live in apartments in the heart of South Beach. There's no free ride, though--they have to book jobs or get the boot.
Let's start with the new girl, Britt. This Kansas City kid seems a bit overwhelmed by big-city life at first. She won't even go out clubbing with the gang. Turns out she's not shy--it's just that she doesn't know how to dance. Awww...
After a little coaching from the other girls, she manages to work up the courage to hit the dance floor. Nope, we're definitely not in Kansas anymore.
Then there's Kelly and Sabrina. Why is it that these identical twins always look so different in their photos? According to Irene Marie herself, the problem is that Sabrina needs to bring more life to her pictures. A test shoot gives Sabrina the chance to step up her game, but she still loses out a very desirable job to her sister. Irene contemplates separating the twins, so Sabrina can get out from Kelly's shadow and come into her own.
Let's not forget the guys. According to Teddy and Sean, being a male model has its own set of unique challenges. Photo shoots get so hot and heavy it can be kind of, well, hard for a guy to control his body. Keep fighting the good fight, guys!
