About Episode

  1. It's playoff season and the Bucs are gearing up to make history. Plowing through the playoff games, the team can almost smell its fifth consecutive State Championship title -- a feat no other team has ever achieved. But, the road to the 'ship isn't an easy one. Before the big dance, the Bucs need to face their rivals, the Vestavia Rebels.

On local TV Show, The Prep Zone, Coach Propst tells the sportscaster that he anticipates record-breaking crowds at the Hoover-Vestavia match up. Knowing that the bitter rivalry might lead to some dirty play, the coaches make sure to guard their players against chop blocks and unfair cuts. Hoover will stop at nothing to bring in a victory -- in fact, DeJohn's ready to play through a knee injury. Although a bad hit could leave him with serious damage, it's a risk he's willing to take.

Meanwhile, the cheerleaders are helping the team prepare in their own way. The girls deck out the guys' locker room with streamers, posters, and balloons to show the boys some love and lend their support.

Before the game, Coach Propst gives the boys a pre-game pep talk. Telling his team they play on another level, the fired up Coach tells his players to add their names to the Hoover legacy.

On the gridiron, the teams take the field and Ross starts the game off right with a huge pass to Brandon. The Bucs bring in an early touchdown, but the Rebels answer back quickly with a long run and touchdown of their own. But, Charlie makes sure to even the playing field, making a long leap into the end zone.

As hard as Hoover's playing, they still can't seem to run away with a victory. The Rebels strike again with a 60-yard touchdown, sending DeJohn into a rage. Ross hears his rally call and drives in a first down, then throwing in a touchdown pass. As the Bucs start edging in on the scoreboard, Hoover's defense takes a stand, stopping the Rebels at the six yard line. Ross throws a deep one to Brandon and connects for another touchdown, bringing the first half to an end with Hoover on top.

But, coming out of the locker room, the Rebels manage another touchdown. Down, but not out, Hoover refuses to quit, with Charlie pulling down another six points. The score remains tight as the game comes to a close, and Vestavia has its last possession, down by five points. Thanks to an illegal touching against the rebels, Hoover takes possession, winning the game 42-37 in home territory. For the seventh year in a row, the Bucs are headed to the State Championship.
