Hoover's creative writers learn to focus, Mark and Brittany head out on their hunt, and there's extra footage from the Bucs' latest victory.
It's playoff season in Hoover, Alabama, and Coach Propst is hell-bent on making sure his players live up to the Buccaneer legacy.
Unfortunately for Charlie, his recent report card fails to live up to the grade his parents hope to receive. When his teammate, Mark, asks how he performed, Charlie reveals that his report card is still under wraps... hidden beneath his dresser.
At practice, Propst pumps up his team for the first week of playoffs. It's do or die, and the Bucs will have to play their best to regain their state championship title. On the way into the locker room, Brandon finally approaches Ross about their passing problems, but Ross assures his receiver that it's business as usual.
While Brandon stresses around the game ahead, Mark focuses on his upcoming weekend hunting adventure with Brittany. Out shopping, Brittany helps Mark pick out a new pair of boots while she models her own set of full camo gear, much to Mark's approval.
Back on the field, Propst pushes his boys beyond the limit in practice. The team only has a potential five more weeks to play, and the last time this crop of Seniors has seen Hoover lose a state championship was in the seventh grade. Propst worries about his 'know-it-all' team's attitude, so he works them to exhaustion.
At home, Charlie tells his dad that everyone is fired up for what could be their last football game. After talking sports, his father brings up another sore subject -- the report card. When Charlie tells his dad that his English grade has slipped since midterm, his Dad tells him to live up to his potential and focus the same amount of energy into class as he does with football.
Come Friday, it's time for the boys to lock it up and get in gear for the Pell City game. After the kickoff, Pell city starts moving the football across the field, but DeJohn steps up with a big defensive play. Starting things off right, Ross throws a touchdown pass to Charlie, followed by another long pass that leads to another seven Hoover points on the scoreboard. With twenty-two seconds left in the first half, Hoover shows no mercy by driving in another touchdown to cap the score at 41-0 heading into the locker room.
As the time winds down, Propst tells Ross that he's been on fire all game, and if Hoover keeps it up, they'll be the best football team the state has ever seen. The final buzzer brings a 44-0 Hoover win, advancing the team to the second round of playoffs.
