After the big win over Homewood, some of the Bucs' girlfriends decide it's time for a little rest and relaxation. Jaime, Brittany, and Kristin throw a BBQ for their boys, but there's a small kink in the plan -- they can't cook. Food aside, the group still manages to have fun playing pool... all except for Mark, who decides to lay low and watch a football game by his lonesome.
Brandon and his brother take in some fun at a haunted house to celebrate the Halloween season. But, as scary as the house is, Brandon finds himself even more haunted on the practice field, where he's still trying to get a feel for Ross. After repeatedly missing catches, Brandon takes a verbal beating from Propst, who warns the receiver that he won't be in the running for a scholarship until he starts completing plays.
It seems as though Brandon has more luck with his game off the field than on the gridiron. At lunch, he invites some girls to a party, even though he's been "hanging out" with a girl named Shannon.
At the Halloween dance, Charlie wins the costume contest for his Napoleon Dynamite get-up, but the celebration doesn't last for long. When he looks over and sees his girlfriend, Kristin, getting into an argument with a guy yelling in her face, Charlie's caught in a rough situation. Although he wants to defend her, he knows he can't get caught in a fight. While the two are arguing outside, Propst pulls up in his truck and catches him out past curfew.
On the field, Brandon starts pulling in some passes and grabbing some positive attention from Propst. When the team takes a knee, Coach tells his players that they need to stay top dogs and win out the rest of the season.
At Senior Night, the guys give roses to their mothers on the field. Knowing they're playing in their last guaranteed home game, the boys dig in to dominate. After quick turnover, it's Hoover ball on the 23 yard line. Ross throws Brandon a high ball deep into the end zone, and the receiver takes in an incredible catch... aside from the fact that he's out of bounds. But, the Bucs keep driving the gridiron and are up by thirteen at the half. With touchdowns from Charlie and Brandon, Hoover High seals the deal with a final score of 42-20. The game marks the 100th win for Coach Propst, who has lead his top team to yet another victory under the Friday night lights.
