Alyssa Texas A&M
Alyssa is a junior Kinesiology major at Texas A&M. She practices cross-fit daily and loves to play guitar. She best describes herself as, "a jack of many trades and a master of none." Alyssa has participated in Cross Fitness competitions in the past, and is excited to compete in the mtvU ROTC challenge to push her physical fitness to the next level and represent all the female Aggies out there.
Erik Texas A&M
Erik is a sophomore Industrial Engineering major and a member of the Army ROTC program at Texas A&M. He is a third generation Aggie and a proud member of the Fighting Aggies Band and Fighting Aggies Cadet Core. Erik has excelled ever since joining the Army ROTC, and is now one of the top members of the Texas A&M Ranger Challenge team. He looks to bring this challenge experience into the competition and lead the Aggies to victory.
John Texas A&M
John is a sophomore Anthropology major and a member of the Army ROTC program at Texas A&M. He is proud to represent not only his school, but the US Army as he fights to win this challenge.
Samuel Louisville
Sam is a junior Chemical Engineer major at the University at Louisville. In his free time he keeps busy playing basketball, dodge ball, and golf. His father is an Air Force pilot and while Sam has considered joining the military, he is currently pursuing a job in chemical engineering. He has extensive experience on low and high ropes courses and loves to be the underdog. He knows his agility and strength will be essential to his team.
John Louisville
John is a senior Justice Administration major and Army ROTC Cadet at the University of Louisville. He is currently commissioned with the Army and will be contracted this summer when he graduates. He comes from a long generation of Army Soldiers going all the way back to his great-grandfather. John is excited to represent his school, country, and looks to make his family proud in this challenge as he will "battle on" for victory.
Andrea Louisville
Andrea is a sophomore Justice Administration major and Army ROTC Cadet at the University of Louisville. It has been her lifelong dream to serve in the military, as she admires the Soldiers who sacrifice themselves for the greater good of the country. She is ready to test the skills she's acquired since joining the Army ROTC, and show the world that women are just as strong as men.
Andrew Vanderbilt
Andrew is a freshman Bio-Medical Engineer and Army ROTC student at Vanderbilt University. He credits Army ROTC for making him a more disciplined and stronger person. When he's not at school or training with the Army ROTC, he enjoys backpacking and competing in triathlons. He is hoping to take these skills when he represents Vanderbilt, all the way to the end.
Jin-Mi Vanderbilt
Jin-Mi is a freshman Civil Engineer major and Army ROTC student at Vanderbilt University. She comes from a large family and learned responsibility, respect, and camaraderie at a very young age. She enjoys being challenged and pushed to her physical limits. Jin-Mi is excited to show everyone just how capable and successful she's become by joining the Army ROTC by competing in the challenge at a high level.
Josh Vanderbilt
Josh is a junior Creative Writing/Philosophy major at Vanderbilt, who enjoys playing baseball and the guitar in his downtime. He's played sports his whole life and is incredibly competitive, pushing himself to win everything he attempts. Josh hopes to develop his leadership skills and gain some discipline by competing in this challenge, but most importantly, bring home a win for the Commodores.
SGT O'Donohue Host
SGT Karen E. O'Donohue enlisted at the Boston United States Military Entrance Processing Command in the Delayed Entry Program in 2006 and joined the U.S. Army in 2007. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with minors in Political Science and Latin America Studies. SGT O'Donohue reported to her first duty station at Fort Stewart in 2007 and was soon deployed for a year to Baghdad where she joined the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade. Her military schooling consists of Combat LifeSaver and Warrior Leader's Course and she has also won numerous awards.
