Love this pic. The 09 VMAs was the night I realized Gaga wasn't just another generic pop star. I didn't know much about her yet and had never seen her videos, but I knew of a couple of her songs and had heard a few comments about her unusual fashion sense. Then I saw her perform Paparazzi and my jaw hit the floor. As soon as the blood started flowing I knew that we had a truly remarkable artist in our midst. It was definitely one of the most memorable VMA performances of all time.
