he's 19 here - wow. how handsome he was pre-surgery. i wish someone could have made him believe that. but if changing his nose gave him the confidence to fly solo, i say his choice. it was the addiction to the surgeries and his unlimited ability to get them that led him to an even more skewed self-image. his inner beauty shines throughout, though. i love looking at his pix, especially pre-off the wall - he was on the verge of some cutting edge work and a very colorful life that spoke to and helped a lot of people. i think of him as eternally peaceful and happy now.
