And then you're gonna cry glitter. So, clear your schedule, put your phone on vibe, and board up your windows.
TRL's about to get real serious.
This time around, Spankin' New Music Week's gonna blow your mind with the hottest, most up-and-coming-est, most poppin'est artists around. And we're also going after your knees with exclusive live performances and appearances by Solange Knowles, Lil Wayne, Katy Perry, Chris Brown, Colby O'Donis, and many, MANY more. (Don't forget to take deep breaths.)
Now, naturally, we've got loads of surprises up our sleeves, and we can't tell you about them because then they wouldn't be surprises. And most of this week is gonna have to be seen to be believed. But we know how cruel and unusual waiting can be... So, usually we don't do this but... OK... go ahead and break 'em off with a little preview of a week so major -- so monumentally, spankingly off the hook -- that it could only be called Spankin' New Music Week.
TUESDAY, JUNE 10: Hazy hot boy Lil Wayne hosts the Spankin' New kick-off and you know, with the hypest MC in the game at the helm, this show's gonna be unmissable. First off get some face time with The Happening's spooky stars, Mark Wahlberg and Zooey Deschanel. Then warm up for a live performance by the infamous Akon and Colby O'Donis, by chatting up hip-hop youngblood, Tyga.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 11: Think you're successful? Meet Miranda Cosgrove, star of Drake and Josh, School Of Rock and iCarly. She's done... hmm... everything. We'll also go one-on-one with Solange Knowles to find out where she gets all that soul. And speaking of soul, we're topping it all off with a live performance by Plies and Ne-Yo! Be there!
THURSDAY, JUNE 12: Girl-kissing next-big-thing Katy Perry drops by. After that, we're checking in with Hollywood synth-rock hotties Metro Station. And as if that's not already more than a day's worth of excitement, Ashanti's performing live too!
FRIDAY, JUNE 13: Seriously, if you have a straight-jacket handy, this is the day to try it on. Not only is Shwayze performing live, but today we're gonna introduce you to some hardcore STARS. First of all, top underdog The Game brings his slick West Coast style to Times Square. And then, the cherry on this cream-of-the-crop week: Chris! Brown! Will! Be! Here!
