When the 2013 MTV Movie Awards hits Los Angeles on Sunday, April 14, one of your favorite stars will already be walking in a winner. After years of making us LOL nonstop, actor, writer and comedy powerhouse Will Ferrell will be honored with the inaugural Comedic Genius Award.

Ferrell first worked his way into our hearts with his hilarious sketch comedy on 'Saturday Night Live.' It didn't take long for him to tackle the silver screen. Soon, Ferrell hit gold with movies like 'Old School' and 'Elf,' both of which snagged him nods for Best Comedic Performance at the MTV Movie Awards.

On a wise-cracking roll, Ferrell continued to bust out more cult classics like 'Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy,' 'Step Brothers,' 'Zoolander,' 'Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby' and 'Blades Of Glory.' He's voiced our favorite cartoon characters, like the title villain of 'Megamind,' and crushed the cameo game, á la ladies man Chazz in 'Wedding Crashers,' all while continuing to write and star in some of the most epic comedies of the 21st century. Garnering a total of nine MTV Movie Award nominations over the years, it's no wonder that his award show gags go viral as soon as they hit the web.
