    19 year-old American model, Chanel Iman, has already achieved the title of fashion's newest "it girl" having graced the covers of Time Magazine Style & Design and Vogue, the youngest of 10 girls the magazine anointed "The World's Next Top Models."

    The Culver City California native began her career at the age of 13, first walking the runway in the Fall/Winter 2006 season for high-profile fashion designers Custo Barcelona and DKNY. Since then she has modeled for top fashion houses including Dolce & Gabbana, Issey Miyake, Marc Jacobs, Valentino, Dsquared, Hermès, Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, Anna Sui, Diane von Fürstenberg, Vera Wang, Jean Paul Gaultier and Stella McCartney. Fresh-faced Iman has also appeared in advertising campaigns for Bottega Veneta, GAP, Victoria's Secret Pink, and United Colors of Benetton.

    In October 2007, Chanel appeared with her mother on an episode of the Tyra Banks Show. Impressed by her poise and ambition, Banks quickly took Iman under her wing becoming a mentor to the young talent. Chanel has since become the muse for Phillip Lim, quickly gaining momentum and notoriety among the fashion elite. The African American Beauty has carved out an impressive career for herself with a bright future in the industry transcending her 5'10" stature.
