How and when did your dancing career start?

As a young girl, I actually wanted to be an actress at first. My father was the one who suggested to have me in dance classes to be well-rounded as an actress. I hated dance my first year, however my mother knew that she had to keep me in classes. My second year is when I started to love dancing.

Are you in school? If so, what is your major?

Not currently.

Do you have a job? If so, what do you do to pay the bills?

Teach hip-hop at Jimmie Defore Dance Center, I'm a barista at Starbucks 17th and Grand in Santa Ana, and I'm also an administrative assistant (secretary) at Assured Performance Network.

What other talents do you have?

Anything in art form. Cosmetology, interior design, fashion.

What do you hope to gain from your 'Dance Crew' experience?

Networking, experience, everything and anything to grow as a dancer and as a person. To broaden my view of dance. Exposure to start off my dancing career.

Who are your own dancing idols?

JP San Pedro -- Kaba Modern alumni. "Dancing Hero". All thirty people on Kaba Modern past and present. They've all inspired me many different ways. Tiffany Boney, most versatile dancer I know.

What is a source of inspiration for your dancing career?

My mother of course, and the rest of family for being my biggest supporters and fans. Kaba Modern, I would like to be successful in the industry and rep my team's name and inspire all that there is a way to balance "Modern" and life and be successful.

Who is your favorite fellow 'Dance Crew' member and why?

Not in specific order (I don't have a fav, but I love 'em all like my own family):

Lawrence for his charismatic character, Song for teaching me so many styles and spreading confidence, Tony for his genuine personality and for being so sick, Yuri for being my twin (not really, but we're alike), Jia for accepting me into "Modern" and teaching me the ways and believing in me so much that it grew me into a coordinator of Kaba Modern.

Is there anything else that we should know?

I would like to give a quick shout-out to my mother for the extreme struggle she had to go through to support and raise me. I wouldn't be dancing if it wasn't for her, perhaps not even made it alive if it wasn't for her. She has taught me how to be courageous, encouraging, fighter and a hard worker. She is my best friend, ex-roommate (shared a bedroom before), financial partner, mostly my hero of life.
