ABOUT THE EVENT

We closed out summer 2007 with the biggest, best, most up-close and unrestricted access to the biggest and best artists on MTV with the star-studded heat of Backstage Pass Week on TRL. And here's exactly what went down.

Dirty South rapper Hurricane Chris blew into the studio to perform his foot-stompin' shakedown "A Bay Bay." Reggae-rap-pop crossover artist Sean Kingston paid tribute to his personal persistence (he was discovered after bombarding record producers on MySpace with his music) and to all the finest, flyest females with a live performance of his new single "Beautiful Girls." And Kat DeLuna wrapped up a week of Backstage Pass Week live performances with a blow-up version of her hot hit, "Whine Up."

We brought you exclusive video premieres from Eve, Will.i.Am and the White Stripes. We beamed in Nelly Furtado via Webcam to give us a 1st Look at her new retro video, "Do It." Plus, we brought you exclusive 1st Looks at Maroon 5's new video, "Wake Up Call," and Chamillionaire's new video, "Hip-Hop Police."

And of course, what's the point of Backstage Pass Week without celebrity drop-bys? Ludacris was in the house with a 1st Look at his new video, "Celebrity Chick." Knocked Up's Seth Rogen came by to tell us all 'bout his new movie, Superbad. Andy Samberg (you may remember him from in December when he gift-wrapped his member with Justin Timberlake on Saturday Night Live) rolled in to chat about his new movie, Hot Rod, starring the gorge Isla Fisher from Wedding Crashers. The lovely and talented actress Anne Hathaway (you loved in her The Princess Diaries and The Devil Wears Prada) stopped by to tell us all about her new chick flick Becoming Jane.

Oh, and we also brought you a special visit from the queen of R&B herself: that's right y'all… Beyoncé herself was in the house to give us the straight stuff on her new Spanish-language album, Irremplazable.

And THEN we cranked up the heat to scorching when we tossed an exclusive Q&A sesh with Fall Out Boy, Akon, T.I. and A.F.I. into the mix, plus Fergie Ferg took inside her hotel room and backstage at her live performance in Vegas, and we showed you exactly what goes down before the curtain goes up on Aly & AJ in concert.
