P.O.D. (Sonny Sandoval, Wuv, Marcos, Traa)
MTV: Who are you looking forward to seeing at the VMAs?
Traa: I'm looking forward to seeing Alicia Keys, myself.
Marcos: U2, straight up.
Sonny: U2.
Traa: U2, yeah.
Sonny: A lot of people. We're going to people watch. We're fans of music so we're going to be people watching the whole time.
Wuv: Staind. Staind will be cool.
Traa: Staind.
MTV: Who do you think the night's big winner is going to be?
Sonny: Missy Elliott's up for a lot.
Traa: Missy Elliott's up for a whole lot.
Marcos: I just know there were a lot of disappointed artists when they saw that one video they did with the dancers [Fatboy Slim's "Praise You"]. When he won for that one and it was as low-budget as it could be, and he won, and there's artists that spend millions of dollars on videos ...
Sonny: What's going on here? [Laughs]
Traa: ... and he came in with a little dance video ...
Marcos: ... in that aspect, I thought that was dope.
Traa: You know why? 'Cause it was real.
Sonny: So our next video, we're just getting our camcorders and going crazy.
MTV: In your opinion, what was the best video of the year?
Marcos: I like the At the Drive-In video ["One Armed Scissor"].
Sonny: All the 'NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, whatever they do. It's always top-notch. They got the budget to do it.
Wuv: "Sledgehammer," dude. What's that guy's name? Peter Gabriel.
MTV: Do you have a favorite VMA memory from years past?
Sonny: Lil' Kim and Diana Ross [in 1999].
Wuv: Rage Against the Machine [bassist Tim C], when he was rocking the gig up there [last year].
Traa: Howard Stern [in 1992]. I have to say it. I mean, it stands out. Fartman. You can't fade that.
Sonny: Nasty butt cheeks. Big, white, pale, nasty butt cheeks. It's always worth a couple laughs.
