What was your first exposure to surfing?
Growing up and living on the beach. Everybody bodyboarding, swimming, and playing in the H2O.
What made you decide to try it?
Saw the dudes charging down the line and I was very interested in doing it. Looked fun, healthy and challenging.
What was your first surfing experience like? How much salt water did you swallow?
H2O was very cold in Jalana Beach. Stood right up and I knew I would do it forever until I die! (No H2O swallowed).
Anyone else in your family surf? Does Mom shoot the curls?
Nobody in my family surfs. My Mom busts out her hot roller curls!
Would you consider dating a guy who doesn't surf?
I'd consider it but he'd have to learn. I love it so much that he'd probably miss me so he'd have to come be with me in the ocean.
What else do you like besides surfing?
I like my health, the gym, the beach, sun, food, nice guys, naturalness, white teeth, clean H2O, people who are positive, and hard wood floors.
What are the most common misconceptions about surfers?
Lazy bums who smoke pot all the time. It's exactly the opposite!
What do you like best about surfing?
The feeling of accomplishment, the sounds of crisp clean waves, breaking over me in a barrel, and being outside. Feeling closer to God!
Explain the difference between a "soul surfer" and a "competitive surfer." Which are you?
Soul surfers cruise down the line with grace and style, snap the lip sweetly. Competitive surfing is more aggressive. I am both. It depends on my mood.
What do you want to get out of this competition? What is your ultimate goal?
Become a stronger surfer / person. Travel and meet new people. To surf bloody barrels all day and then dream about it at night.

What was your worst bail ever? What happened?
Sunset Beach, Hawaii. 20 ft. whitewash washed me off my board, up and down, and all around under H2O. It seemed to be forever…almost drowned.
What would the surf movie based on your life be called?
Endless Adventures, or Why Not?
