What was your first exposure to surfing?
My first exposure to surfing was from my mother and father, also just living by the beach all my life.
What made you decide to try it?
I decided to surf because my mother and father taught me when I was 5 years old.
What was your first surfing experience like? How much salt water did you swallow?
At Cocoa Beach Florida with my mother when I was 5. It was awesome.
Anyone else in your family surf? Does Mom shoot the curls?
My mother, father, and brother.
Would you consider dating a guy who doesn't surf?
No.
What else do you like besides surfing?
Yoga, clothes, walks on the beach, hangin' with friends, swimming, biking, longboard skateboarding, and snowboarding.
What are the most common misconceptions about surfers?
We're surf bums. I am really very busy with surf contests, school, and working.
What do you like best about surfing?
Sunset in the water, and the awesome energy you get while in the water. It's the beauty of the ocean.
Explain the difference between a "soul surfer" and a "competitive surfer." Which are you?
Right now I am a competitive surfer but I know that will not last forever. So, at heart I am a Soul Surfer because I plan on surfing till the day I die.
What do you want to get out of this competition? What is your ultimate goal?
I want to get the traveling experience and life long friends.
