Episode 10
It’s the last week of pledging and the pledges are concerned about who will cross over. In preparation for crossing over, all pledges are asked to purchase a white evening gown for the occasion. They must purchase their dresses and have them approved by the sisters prior to receiving their bid to join the sorority.
Just prior to voting, the sisters invite each pledge to an individual interview where final questions can be asked and decisions made. After each interview is completed, the active sisters meet and cast their vote by secret ballot. If even one active sister votes "No" that pledge will not cross over.
Once all the votes are in, the sisters call the pledges to break the news. It begins with a phone call for Salina. With 22 votes of "Yes," Salina is accepted into the sorority. The phone rings off the hook throughout the night as Val places calls to each individual pledge. Monica and Michelle who had some difficulties with the sisters in the past still are accepted into the sorority.
Alas, it all comes down to Carmen. The last to be called, Carmen is unfortunately not allowed to cross over into sisterhood, as four of her active sisters voted "No." Very upset, hurt and embarrassed, Carmen soon disappears into her room.
While upset that their fellow pledge-sister had will not be joining them, the newly-accepted pledges are thrilled with their bids. All enjoy themselves at the 'Installs" ceremony and formal ball. Sisters dressed in black, and pledge-sisters dressed in white dance the night away--together happy with the new bonds that they have formed.
