What are the qualities of a perfect mate in your opinion?
A guy who is caring, someone who cares about other people at least as much as he cares about himself, someone who's good-looking both on the inside and outside, someone who's kind, that's really important to me. Boys who play lacrosse…yeah! Or baseball works for me too.

Now that it's almost over, what is the one positive thing you'll take away from this experience?
I think the one thing is that I always have myself, I know what I stand for, and the things that I want to be and the person that I want to be. It's been really tough but it's shown me that there are aspects of myself that no one can take away.

Tell me about one special relationship you formed with a sister or pledge?
It would be with Jordan. I didn't know her coming into this and I know her really well now, we get along really well now, we click and I'm glad.

If you became the president of SAE-Pi, what would you do to change/add the way the sorority functions?
Good question… I think Leah does a good job at what she's doing as president, there is nothing she does that I would change. In the sorority there are a lot of people that are opinionated but knowing the time and place to express your opinions are really important. If I was president, I would have more of a regulation of the way people are being approached in the house, being respectful because these are people that you're supposed to know for the rest of our lives, so that's important.

How do feel that having the MTV cameras around affected your pledging experience?
I think there was a lot of bitterness about the cams following the girls, for me it was really fun that I had that part of my life recorded. I'm not sad that it is over but it was really fun while it lasted.

What was the experience like sharing one bathroom with five other people?
That sucked--it was dirty and disgusting and everyone will see that. I'm really looking forward to living with just two other people.

What was the best thing about pledging?
Getting to meet new people, and trying new things that you may not have done otherwise.

What was the worst thing about pledging?
Being yelled at every week by the sisters. When they yell at me I don't like it, that sums it up. Also, being treated like you're less than them simply [because] you're pledging, even if you're older than them, that part was hard for me.

Did pledging affect the amount of time you had to study?
Yeah, but how could it not? We had activities every week, pledge meetings, etc., but I'm doing fine in school, so it was ok.

Describe the bonds that developed with your potential sisters during the pledging process, and how you think they're different from developing friendships outside the sorority.
I think the bonds we have are pretty close, especially the girls that have lived together, I don't think it's been different than from a normal group of friends or sports teams or clubs. We're close but not the closest friends of my life. I'm sure I'll go on to make other friends as well.
