What better way to cap off '03 than a battle of the best featuring the two top amateur MCs in the country? Wrekonize took the title in November's "MC Battle II." He then spat his lyrics against the "MC Battle I" winner Reign Man. It all went down live during MTV's New Year's Eve: 2004 blowout and trust us, it wasn't pretty.

Too many MC's, not enough mics. The two standing MC Battle champs stepped back into the ring at the MTV's New Year's Eve: 2004 special. Reign Man's lyrics were fierce, but Wreckonize launched a verbal assault that Reign just couldn't match.

Reign Man
"I'm not into the jewelry and bling bling. I just want to take care of my nephew and make sure that he's got everything he needs and is taken care. I've also created my own independent record label called Fall Back Records and a management company called CV1 which stands for Climbing Vertically for One Purpose."

Wrekonize
"My main goal as an artist is to innovate and produce music that reminds people that it's still entertainment…Money and fame can go and come in an instant, but music lives indefinitely. Look at Vanilla Ice. His money and fame are gone but people still talk about how stupid 'Ice, Ice baby' was!"
