MTV 2001 Movie Awards MTV Shows
We snooped around for celeb dirt during the show. Read on to get in the know.

    A Star is Born
Who was that brunette bombshell preening and pruning for all the cameras on the red carpet? Of course--model/actress Christa Campbell. Haven't heard of her? She appears in the movie The Crew and the upcoming The New Guy, but perhaps you're more familiar with her other work--"mature" videos like Erotic Landscapes, Lingerie Passion and Bikini Watch. And who was her clearly outshone escort? Some guy named Jervis from some show called Survivor. Guess he's used to being booted out of the picture.

    Two's A Crowd
They may have shared Best Kiss, but apparently they weren't supposed to share anything else. After the show, the PR rep escorting winners Julia Stiles and Sean Patrick Thomas got into a tizzy in the press room. Apparently the two young actors were supposed to make the press rounds individually to talk up their separate projects--Halloween: The Homecoming for Sean Patrick, and O and The Bourne Identity for Julia. Instead, they were interviewed together for one media source. After his intial irritation died down, the PR rep decided to let the pair do the rest of their interviews together. It's all about teamwork, guys.

    Who, Me?
Shannon Elizabeth says she's trying to get away from her sex symbol image after getting down and dirty in American Pie. But guess who strutted nearly all of her stuff--wearing a sparkly see-through ensemble--on the red carpet? Try a little harder, Shannon…

    Coming Up Pink
Apparently, Pink was the hit of the show. She created a stir by cradling a white dog--the evening's best accessory--in her arms as she sauntered down the red carpet. During breaks in the show, Mena Suvari and Chris Klein were spotted chatting her up. And even the baddest motherf***er in town, Jim Carrey, was overheard calling Pink "super cool."

    Cheers
She may be hosting the MTV Movie Awards, but Kirsten Dunst hasn't forgotten the little(r) people. Though Kirsten was rushing around during brief breaks in the show taping, she managed to find time to give Nicole Bilderback--her co-star in Bring It On--a quick hug. Bring on the love!

    The Tramp Is A Lady
"Lady Marmalade" star Lil' Kim isn't known for being a lady. But what was in the raunchy rapper's dressing room backstage? Crabtree & Evelyn scented candles in freesia and vanilla. It's nice to know she's got a lil' soft side.
