MTV: Let's talk about High Fidelity.
Susie: Here's my thought.
James: Go, Susie! Go, Susie!
Susie: For starters, it is my dream in life to have a man like John Cusack making me a mix tape.
MTV: Why is that?
Susie: Well, I just feel that's the ultimate expression of love, because he put so much thought and time into those damn tapes, and those stupid bitches didn't even appreciate it. What are your thoughts, Jim?
James: I think it's an awesome movie because no matter how many, or how big you've had f*cked-up relationships, you can pretty much identify with one of those relationships on there.
Susie: That's true.
James: Just one. I'm not saying all of them. I remember I was watching it with an ex-girlfriend of mine, and I was watching it, and I was like "Son of a bitch…he said it right there!" I look over, and she looks over at me…and it's kind of like two people who were searching for some sort of prize and never found it and got really angry, and never knew the way, and somebody's like, "Oh, you just take a left and two rights, and then you get to the prize."
James: And so we looked at each other and we're like, "That's all you f*ckin' needed to do?" Oh man, it was an awesome movie. I got home and I was like, "Sweet, man!"
Susie: See, the thing is I thought it was going to be all about pop culture, and stuff? But it was actually a legitimate plot, with stuff that everybody understands. I loved that. And anytime you put Lisa Bonet in a cowboy hat, it's great with me.
