James and Susie from Road Rules

You first met Susie on Road Rules Australia. James followed a couple seasons later on Road Rules Maximum Velocity Tour. We brought them together for the Real World/Road Rules Extreme Challenge, and now we've reunited them once more. Read on to learn what Susie and James think about being Russell Crowe, mix tapes, and Lisa Bonet in cowboy hats.

  Gladiator

MTV: What did you guys think of Gladiator?

Susie: Jim, you start!

James: OK Susie, here I go! Um, Gladiator…sweet-ass movie. It's a lot like Braveheart really, I mean if you think about it, hero rises up from the depths, gets killed in the end, has sex with a very prominent woman, like--

Susie: Well that's my whole issue, there's clearly not enough broads in this movie. Hello? It's like one girl, and she's dating all these people that she's related to--

James: Oh, that's true.

Susie: And they need way more wardrobe changes. The earth tones are very out.

James: That's true, it was kind of like, "Now, we're going to shoot this one in the sludge, guys. Everyone's going to have dirt on them at all times."

MTV: So what'd you guys think of Russell Crowe?

James: Russell Crowe?

Susie: Well, he's hot.

James: Yeah, uh…

Susie: He's like the Every Man. Everybody likes him because guys want to be him, and girls just want to bang him.

James: Wait a minute, that's totally not right--

Susie: Why?

James: I don't want to be Russell Crowe.

Susie: Yes you do, in that movie, you do.

James: Um . . . yeah. Yeah, I did. Yeah, he's a bad-ass in the movie

  High Fidelity

MTV: Let's talk about High Fidelity.

Susie: Here's my thought.

James: Go, Susie! Go, Susie!

Susie: For starters, it is my dream in life to have a man like John Cusack making me a mix tape.

MTV: Why is that?

Susie: Well, I just feel that's the ultimate expression of love, because he put so much thought and time into those damn tapes, and those stupid bitches didn't even appreciate it. What are your thoughts, Jim?

James: I think it's an awesome movie because no matter how many, or how big you've had f*cked-up relationships, you can pretty much identify with one of those relationships on there.

Susie: That's true.

James: Just one. I'm not saying all of them. I remember I was watching it with an ex-girlfriend of mine, and I was watching it, and I was like "Son of a bitch…he said it right there!" I look over, and she looks over at me…and it's kind of like two people who were searching for some sort of prize and never found it and got really angry, and never knew the way, and somebody's like, "Oh, you just take a left and two rights, and then you get to the prize."

Susie: Right!

James: And so we looked at each other and we're like, "That's all you f*ckin' needed to do?" Oh man, it was an awesome movie. I got home and I was like, "Sweet, man!"

Susie: See, the thing is I thought it was going to be all about pop culture, and stuff? But it was actually a legitimate plot, with stuff that everybody understands. I loved that. And anytime you put Lisa Bonet in a cowboy hat, it's great with me.
