The group films the video for "Cryin'" at the Central Congregational Church in Fall River, MA, where Lizzie Borden used to worship.

In June, they begin the US leg of their tour in Kansas.

In August, Aerosmith receive the inaugural star in Boston's Tower Records Walk Of Fame. It's a 26- foot brass star bearing the 'groups' name cemented into the store's landing.
In September, they perform "Living On The Edge" and win the Viewer's Choice Award at the MTV VMAs.
