1. Do you have any nicknames or pledge names? What are they and what do they mean?
I have no nicknames or pledge names. Oh, except one: "Holy sh*t, that guy's a badass." ("That guy" being me.)
2. Describe this past quarter in three words.
Stereotypes are true.
3. Why did you choose to pledge this fraternity?
Because I was an idiot. My friend Drew wanted to pledge, and I thought it wouldn't be that bad. But as stated above, stereotypes always ring true.
4. What was your first thought when you realized you were going to be on camera?
Wow, I gotta go home and masturbate. (Extra sarcasm throughout the thought.)
5. Before you pledged the fraternity, how many people had you lived with at one time? Were you concerned about sharing a living space w/ other guys? Why?
I had a roommate, Francisco from South Central L.A. We said about two words to each other the whole year, so I was used to having a daft, dull and useless roommate, so I figured there was nothing worse.
6. What moment from this quarter do you think will be the most painful for you to watch on TV? Why?
Well, I like to think of myself as intelligent and uncaring. Which was why I censored what I said when the camera was on me. Therefore, I don't believe there will be any painful moments to watch.
7. What's your porn star name? (Your first pet's name and the street you grew up on)
Garfield Eagle. Yup, pretty damn sexy, huh?
8. What do you find attractive in a woman? What turns you on?
I found Heather attractive and Michelle, but they didn't turn me on. A girl who isn't still in the phase of "Let's get hammered and smoke pot and be immature and annoying all the time" would turn me on.
9. When the quarter started, were you dating anyone? Are you in a relationship right now?
No and no.
10. What is the one thing you want people to know about you after watching the show? Why?
I am depressed, woe is me. EMO for life!!! Go EMO!!!! F**king emo people.
11. What was the best/most memorable moment for you this quarter?
The most memorable moment for me this quarter would have to be every time one of the DOC guys would try to act like an Army drill sergeant or something. It's like they were playing for the camera so that they look big and tough. I'm sorry, but they're not. Most of the guys are nice and all, but the one guy I really like is my big bro, Jake. He doesn't care about anything. But he thinks I'm shy for not coming to some of the events. It's just that I don't care, either.
12. What is the most important lesson you learned during this past semester? What would you do differently if you could do it over?
The most important lesson is that it is foolish to attempt to make friends by joining a club. Well, I'm a fate-ist, so everything that happens occurs for a reason. I wouldn't change any of it.
13. If you had the chance to hang out with one actor or musician, who would it be and why?
I would hang out with Humphrey Bogart if I had the chance. He was such a badass, and I could talk to him about how he could swoon any girl in the world. Maybe he would pass some tricks on to me. Or maybe I would choose Marilyn Monroe just for the sake of bragging rights. "Oh, your daughter married a lawyer? Yeah, our son married Marilyn Monroe. Yes, she's still alive."
14. Which night sounds like more fun: Hanging out with a hot girl or going out with your buds? Why?
Hanging out with a hot girl or my guy friends? Well, a hot girl would be fun because I would take her to a fancy restaurant, dancing, a jazz club and then gaze up at the stars, which would be very fun. But most hot girls have annoying voices--very high-pitched or extremely low. And I'm very picky when it comes to girls. And also, the whole thing about "(Me:) So, what do you want to do?" "(Girl:) I don't know. Let's get drunk and smoke pot." Yup, I'm bitter. I'd hang out with the guys.
15. If you could choose a theme song for this past quarter, what would it be and why?
"No, Not Now" by Hot Hot Heat.
16. Who is the messiest pledge? Who's the neat freak? What have you witnessed to back that up?
Yup, because I really paid attention to who was the messiest and who was the neat freak.
17. What is the grossest/weirdest/worst thing you've witnessed in the pledge house?
18. Complete the following sentences:
Frat boys are:
stereotypical.
Sorority girls are:
always saying, "Let's get drunk and smoke pot. By the way, I'm really hot." And I retort with, "No you're not. I decide who's hot."
19. If you were president of the fraternity, what would you do?
Disband it.
20. What goals have you set for yourself for after college? Are you concerned about the future, or are you ready to rock n' roll? Why?
After college, I'm moving to L.A. with a buddy of mine. We're both film majors, and all we can do is hope. He and I are making a film about the museum we worked at in the next year or so, and hopefully I can find the money to transfer it to film and submit it to Sundance. I'm done with the party thing--it's time to have the real fun and do what I love.
