The brothers are letting the pledges come to Toronto with them for their SCO retreat. Some of the brothers believe that if they had to vote on the pledges at this very moment, because of all the mistakes made so far, many of the pledges wouldn’t get into the fraternity. The purpose of the retreat is for the pledges to show some camaraderie and have time to bond and work together to complete a common goal. The pledges are excited, but are a bit weary of what may lie ahead. The ride up to Toronto is quite interesting. The pledges are spilt up between two buses filled with brothers. Flounder informs Tim, Earl and Jarreau that they have to spend the entire bus ride crammed into the bathroom in the back, while the other guys are required to hold onto a football for the entire weekend and not lose it. After a short period of time, Flounder lets the three out of the bathroom, and the other guys already lose a handle on the football. It's a bad start to the weekend.
Once they arrive in Toronto, the pledges are given the task of completing a scavenger hunt by 6:00 p.m. that night. If they finish the task, then they are allowed to go out and party with the brothers. If they don't, there will be consequences. Part of the scavenger hunt includes finding a golden sword, which the guys are a nervous about. But they are motivated for the task. They want to do well, but there are problems. The guys are constantly getting into fights and cannot make one unanimous decision. They are quickly losing time and petrified what is going to happen to them if they don't finish. Once Paul finally gets everyone to calm down, the guys finally start working as a team. They find Wayne Gretzky's hockey stick and puck (even after the manager of his restaurant told them that it wasn't there) and complete all the rest of the tasks, but the golden sword still remains at large.
They arrive back at the hotel and the brothers give them another hour to find the sword. In a fit of ingenuity, the pledges create their own sword by laying down on the ground in the shape of a sword as the brothers look out the window. The brothers believe that they're definitely deserving for effort, but still demand the sword that they requested. After thinking about it for a while, the guys realize that the sword isn't a physical item. The sword represents the pledges and the promises that they have committed to. The brothers believe that the pledges showed a great deal of improvement by completing all the tasks, and receive they’re reward as they all go out and party. The brothers remind them however that they need to keep their act together…It's not over yet.
