What was your inspiration for your entry?
My inspiration for the PSA came from my desire to show all the aspects of discrimination. It is very important for me to show the struggles of each person in the world. To show that no matter one's age, race, or gender, discrimination is a reality for every individual. Showing the candle being blown out symbolized each person's individual light that shines in them being "killed" due to discrimination. Will we continue to kill the lights of the world?
What is the message you want people to take from your PSA?
Most importantly, I would like viewers to gain a stronger sense of who they are as people, and how important it is for each of us as individuals to accept one another as people and as equals. Each of us are special and have very special gifts to offer the world, and it's up to each of us to take the time and recognize these gifts in one another.
