Be on MTV: Sound off on Fight for Your Rights
Have you been affected by shows like Anatomy of a Hate
Crime and When Hate Goes
Pop?
Did you sit through the 17-hour Hate Crimes
scroll back in January?
Got an opinion on the Flipped or Criminal series?
You could be on MTV. We want to hear what you have to say about Fight For
Your Rights: Take a Stand Against Discrimination! If you have access to
a video camera, send in videos of you and your friends speaking out about
MTV's Fight For Your Rights. Selected video clips will be aired on MTV
during Fight For Your Rights Feedback Weekend, November 17-18.
Tell us...
- Has the campaign affected your life?
- Has the campaign changed your opinions, the way you look at other people,
the way you look at yourself?
- Has it made you more aware of discrimination targeted at certain
groups -- like gays, overweight people, or Arab-Americans?
- Has it empowered you to take a stand in your own community?
- How could MTV do better in the future?
Submit your video to:
Fight For Your Rights Sound Off
1633 Broadway, 32nd Floor
New York, NY 10019
Note: Submissions should run no longer than 3 minutes and should be on
either VHS or DV tapes. All submissions must be postmarked by October 25th
and will not be returned. Make sure you're speaking in a quiet room without
background noise, and don't shoot with a window to your back!
