Psychic investigators have been drawn to this pool, considering it a major hot spot in the brewery. With audio equipment, these investigators have recorded sounds of splashing and a little girl crying for help, though no one was in the pool at the time and no children were in the brewery. Several people have seen the body of a small girl floating face down in the pool. Upon further investigation, the image simply faded.
At its peak, the Boettger Brewery employed over 1,000 people. Most of the employees lived in a massive housing complex on the property. In the winter of 1911, a young girl was seen going into the caverns. She was found dead hours later, her body floating face down in the water of the pool. The little girl had apparently drowned.
